New Mangalore 2015-16 coal handling down 53.71%

Handling of coal by New Mangalore Port stood at 6,276,894 tons during financial year 2015-16, recording a fall of 53.71% from 13,559,088 tons handled in 2014-15, as per provisional data from port sources available with ICMW.

On a similar note, the port handled 534,909 tons of coal cargo in March 2016, registering fall of 41.01% over 906,746 tons handled in February 2016.

Similarly, handling of coal by the port in March 2015 stood at 697,980 tons, which shows that handling was down 23.36% y-o-y.
