New Mangalore Dec coal handling dips 15% m-o-m

Handling of coal (imported coal) by New Mangalore Port stood at 400,191 tons in December 2015, showing a decline of 14.94% against 470,462 tons handled in November 2015, as per provisional data from port sources available with ICMW.

However, during the first nine months (April- December) of 2015-16, coal handling by this port stood at 4,446,464 tons, showing a decline of a 26.87% from 6,080,070 tons handled in the same period of 2014-15.

Similarly, handling of coal by the port in December 2014 stood at 454,599 tons, which shows that handling was down 11.97% year-on-year.
