New Mangalore FY15 steam coal imports drop 52%

April 29: Non-coking (steam) coal imports through New Mangalore Port fell drastically to 1,952,772 in financial year 2014-15 from 4,098,967 tons in 2013-14, resulting in a decrease of 52.36% y-o-y, according to provisional data available with ICMW
Moreover, non-coking coal volumes imported during March 2015 were down sharply by almost 82.04% to 31,947 tons, compared to 177,856 tons in February, 2015
In March 2014, non-coking coal imports via the port stood at 160,771 tons.
