New Mangalore Feb coal handling up 133% m-o-m

Handling of coal by New Mangalore Port stood at 906,746 tons in February 2016, an increase of 133.23% from 388,775 tons handled in January 2016, as per provisional data from port sources available with ICMW.

However, during the first 11 months (April-February) of 2015-16, coal handling by this port stood at 5,741,985 tons, showing a fall of 22.87% from 7,444,382 tons handled in the same period of 2014-15.

Similarly, handling of coal by the port in February 2015 stood at 568,522 tons, which shows that handling was up 59.49% y-o-y.
