New Mangalore Feb pet coke imports drop 37% m-o-m

Pet coke imports via New Mangalore Port stood at 46,212 tons in February 2016, down 37.22% compared to 73,613 tons imported in January 2016, as per provisional data available with ICMW.

A volume of 69,616 tons of pet coke had been imported via this port in February 2015.

Total pet coke imports through the port during the first 11 months (April-February) of 2015-16 stood at 485,622 tons against 497971.02 tons seen in the same period of the previous fiscal.

Imports of pet coke through the port in financial year 2014-15 stood at 607,644 tons.

Following is the monthly break-up of pet coke imports via New Mangalore Port in 2015-16 and 2014-15 (in tons):

In February 2016, out of the entire amount, 26,212 tons came from Saudi Arabia at a price of Rs 2,717 ($39) per ton and 20,000 tons from the US at Rs 3,055 ($44) per ton.

In January 2016, out of the entire amount, 57,001 tons came from Saudi Arabia at Rs 2,756 ($41) per ton and 16,612 tons from the US at Rs 3,263 ($48) per ton.
