New Mangalore Oct pet coke imports fall 95% m-o-m

November 26: Pet coke imports via New Mangalore Port stood at 5,000 tons during October 2014 while during the previous month, imports through the port stood at 94,672 tons, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In October 2013, pet coke imports via the port stood at 10,000 tons.
Total imports of pet coke through New Mangalore Port in April-October, 2014-15 stood at 245,306 tons against 216,187 tons recorded in the same period of the previous financial year.
Following is the monthly break-up of met coke imports via New Mangalore Port in 2014-15 and 2013-14 (in tons):

In October 2014, the entire material came from United States at a price of Rs 6,334 ($102) per ton whereas during September 2014, 31,131 tons came from Saudi Arabia at a price of Rs 5,848 ($96) per ton while the balance 63,541 tons came in from the US at a price of Rs 9,191 ($151) per ton.
