November 30: Imports of pet coke via New Mangalore Port stood at 32,999 tons in October 2015 rising by more than 4.5 times month-on-month compared to 7,000 tons imported in September 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
There were 5,000 tons of pet coke imports via this port in October 2014.
Total pet coke imports through the port during the first seven months (April-October) of 2015-16 stood at 346,297 tons against 245,306 tons in the same period of the previous fiscal.
Imports of pet coke through the port in financial year 2014-15 stood at 607,644 tons.

In October 2015, the entire amount of 32,999 tons, came from Saudi Arabia at a price of Rs 3,791 ($58) per tons.
In September 2015, the entire amount of 7,000 tons, came from the US at a price of Rs 9,808 ($147) per tons.
