New Mangalore coal handling up 37% in Sept m-o-m

October 29: Coal handling at New Mangalore Port stood at 613,633 tons during September 2014, up 37.28% from 447,000 tons handled during August, a senior port official told ICMW.

During September 2013, coal handling at the port stood at 734,000 tons.

During the first six months (April-September) of 2014-15, total coal handled at the port stood at 4,312,549 tons against 4,595,762 tons recorded during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
