After a gap of two months, imports of limestone resumed via New Mangalore Port in April 2016 with 66,231 tons, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
There were no limestone imports via this port in April 2015.
Following is the monthly break-up of limestone imports via New Mangalore Port in 2016-17 and 2015-16 (in tons):

In April 2016, out of the entire volume, 66,050 tons came in from UAE at a price range of Rs 712-Rs 830 ($11-$12) per ton, 125 tons from Malaysia at a price of Rs 7,997 ($120) per ton and 125 tons from Vietnam at Rs 7,649 ($113) per ton.
In January 2016 , out of the entire volume, 27 tons came in from Egypt at a price of Rs 7,486 ($111) per ton and 125 tons from Malaysia at Rs 7,991 ($118) per ton.
