Met coke imports via New Mangalore Port stood at 42,227 tons in December, marginally up 0.98% month-on-month compared to 41,818 tons imported in November 2015, as per provisional data available with ICMW.
There were no met coke imports via this port in December 2014.
Total met coke imports through the port during the first nine months (April-December) of 2015-16 stood at 341,778 tons against 247,291 tons seen in the same period of the previous fiscal.
Imports of met coke through the port in financial year 2014-15 stood at 310,460 tons.

In November 2015, the entire material came from China at a price range of Rs 9,785-Rs 10,029 ($142-$152) per ton.
