April 29: Pet coke imports through New Mangalore Port rose sharply to 538,028 tons in financial year 2014-15 from 480,474 tons in 2013-14, resulting in an increase of 11.98% y-o-y, according to provisional data available with ICMW
Pet coke imported during March 2015 was at 109,673 tons while there were no imports registered in February 2015. In January 2015, 69,568 tons were imported.
In March 2014, pet coke imports via the port stood at 50,937 tons.
Following is the monthly break-up of non-coking coal imports via New Mangalore Port in 2014-15 and 2013-14 (in tons):
