December 24: Gypsum imports through New Mangalore Port plunged to 108 tons in November from 55,200 tons imported in October 2015, as per provisional information available with ICMW.
There were no gypsum imports via this port in November 2014.
Total gypsum imports through the port during the first eight months (April-November) of 2015-16 stood at 220,399 tons against 170,276 tons in the same period of the previous fiscal.
Imports of gypsum through the port in financial year 2014-15 stood at 284,184 tons.

The entire import volume in November 2015 came from Iran at a price of Rs 5,966 ($90) per ton.
The entire import volume in October 2015 came from Oman at a price of Rs 1,109 ($17) per ton.
