Imports of PCI coal via New Mangalore Port were down 88.56% to 31,373 tons in fiscal 2015-16 against 274,334 tons in 2014-15, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
On the other hand, imports of the material via the port rose 51.03% month-on-month to 15,085 tons in March 2016 against 9,988 tons seen in February 2016.

In March 2016, the entire volume of 15,085 tons came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,546 -Rs 5,623 ($82-$82) per ton.
In February 2016, the entire volume of 9,988 tons came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,496 -Rs 6,043 ($80-$88) per ton.
