Nil demand for G2 grade in January on coaljunction

There was nil demand for G2 (GCV between 6,700 and 7,000 Kcal/kg) in January 2016 on coaljunction as there was no bid for the offered quantity of 1,000 tons by Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL), according to data available with ICMW.
Meanwhile, there was poor demand G2 in December 2015 on coaljunction as out of the offered quantity of 51,000 tons by ECL and North Eastern Coalfields (NEC), only a small volume of 4,160 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,873 per ton.
However, there were no offerings of G2 grades of coal on the e-auction platform of coaljunction by Coal India (CIL) subsidiaries in November 2015.
