Nil demand for G3 grade coal in November e-auction

December 7: There was nil demand for 10,000 tons of G3 grade coal (GCV between 6,401 and 6,700 Kcal/kg) offered by South Eastern Coalfields (SECL) for allotment through coaljunction in November 2015, as per data available with ICMW.
However, strong demand was witnessed for G3 grade coal offered by SECL for allocation through e-auction on coaljunction in October 28, 2015, as almost the entire offered quantity was allotted during the month. A total of 8,500 tons of this grade was offered on coaljunction in October of which 8,490 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 5,518 per ton.
However, no demand was witnessed for G3 grade offered by SECL in September 2015, as there was no bid for the offered quantity of 38,940 tons.
