No PCI coal imports through Vizag Port in September

October 9: There were no PCI coal imports through the port of Vizag in September, as per provisional data available with ICMW.
Imports of the material in August, through the port, were at 95,866 tons.
In September 2013, PCI coal imports through Vizag Port stood at 43,935 tons.
On a cumulative basis, imports of the material for the first six months of the current fiscal stood at 268,739 tons while the same for the previous fiscal were at 314,728 tons.
Following is the monthly break-up of PCI coal imports via Vizag Port in 2013-14 and through 2014-15:

In August, 83,766 tons arrived from the US at a unit price of Rs 6,245 ($103) while the balance 12,100 tons came in from South Africa in a band of Rs 6,253 –Rs 6,553 ($101-106) per ton.
