No PCI coal imports via Chennai Port in May

June 20: There were no PCI coal imports via Chennai Port for three consecutive months including May 2014,according to provisional data available with ICMW.

There were no imports of the material through the port in April and March as well.

Imports of the material were at a negligible 0.11 tons in February 2014 while there were no imports in January.

In February, the single consignment had arrived from South Africa at a unit price of Rs 47,363 ($752) per ton.
