No PCI imports through Gangavaram Port in February

There were no imports of PCI coal via Gangavaram Port in February 2016, as per provisional information available with ICMW. Incidentally, after six months, imports of PCI coal resumed in January 2016 with 50,827 tons,


For the first 11 months (April-February) of the current fiscal (2015-16), PCI coal imports via Gangavaram Port stood at 292,133 tons while 164,320 tons had been imported in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15).

In January 2016, the entire volume of 50,827 tons came in from Australia at a unit price of Rs 4,861 ($72) per ton.

 

No anthracite imports via Gangavaram Port this fiscal

March 22: For 11 consecutive months since March 2015, there have been no anthracite coal imports via Gangavaram Port, as per provisional information available with ICMW. A volume of 36,410 tons of the material had been last imported via the port in March this calendar.

 

Consequently, there were no imports of the material during the first 11 months (April-February) of the current fiscal (2015-16), similar to the scenario in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15).
