No anthracite imports through Cochin in February

There were no imports of anthracite coal import via Cochin Port in February 2016, according to provisional information available with ICMW. Incidentally, after a gap of six months since June 2015, anthracite coal imports resumed via this port in January with a consignment of 27 tons.
Following are details of anthracite coal imports through the port in 2015-16 and 2014-15 (in tons):

For the first 11 months (April-February) of the current fiscal (2015-16), anthracite coal imports via Cochin Port stood at 45 tons while 18 tons had been imported in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15).
In January, the entire volume of 27 tons was imported from China at a unit price of Rs 18,053 ($268) per ton.
