No coal imports for Adani Power’s Tirora plant in Feb

In a marked deviation from January 2016, Adani Power Limited did not import any coal for its Tirora thermal power plant against 4,000 tons in January 2016, according to provisional data of CEA.
However, the Mundra TPS’s coal imports in February 2016 were at 1,436,000 tons against 1,309,000 tons in January 2016.
Of the total imports during the month, materialisation for the Mundra TPS stood at 128% of the target of 1,125,000 tons. Total imports for the Mundra TPS for the April-February, 2015-16 period stood at 15,463,000 tons, which was 125% of the target of 12,375,000 tons and an increase of 14% over 13,540,000 tons reported for the same period in the previous fiscal.
For Tirora, the target was 208,000 tons. For the April-February, 2015-16 period, the plant’s coal imports were at 1,935,000 tons which had been 84% of the target of 2,292,000 tons but a drop of 9% against 2136,000 tons imported in the same period of the previous fiscal.
