No coking coal imports via New Mangalore since Sept

There have been no coking coal imports via New Mangalore Port for the last five consecutive months, as per provisional data available with ICMW. The last time coking coal was imported via this port was in August 2015.
A volume of 94,130 tons of coking coal had been imported via this port in January 2015.
Total coking coal imports through the port during the first 10 months (April-January) of 2015-16 stood at 121,659 tons against 742,214 tons in the same period of the previous fiscal.
Imports of coking coal through the port in financial year 2014-15 stood at 812,391 tons.

During August 2015, the entire material had come from Australia at a price of Rs 6,391 ($97) per ton.
