No import of steam coal via Cochin Port in January

There was no import of steam coal via Cochin Port stood in January 2016, while 4000 tons were the imported quantity in December 2015, as per provisional information available with ICMW.
There were no imports of steam coal through the port in January 2015.
For the first ten months (April-January) of the current fiscal (2015-16), steam coal imports via Cochin Port stood at 77,700 tons against 48,034 tons imported in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15).

During December, the entire imported quantity of 4,000 tons came from South Africa at a unit price of Rs 5,129 ($76) per ton.
