No offering of G1, G2 grades in March

April 7: There was no offering of G1 (GCV above 7001 Kcalkg) and G2 (GCV between 6700 and 7000 Kcal/kg) grades of coal by CIL subsidiaries on the e-auction platform of coaljunction in March 2015.
Actually, a total of around 70,000 tons of G1 and G2 grades were offered in February by NEC after a gap of two months i.e. December 2014 and January 2015.
In February 2015, high demand was witnessed for 42,500 tons of G1 grade coal offered by NEC of CIL on this platform as 38,940 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 5,771 per ton.
On the other hand, entire quantity of 27,500 tons of G2 grade of coal was offered by NEC of CIL was allotted, while out of 2000 tons of the same grade of coal offered by ECL, 1990 tons were allotted during the month of February 2015.
