No pet coke export volumes via Chennai in Aug

September 24: There were no pet coke exports through the port of Chennai in August 2014, as per provisional information available with ICMW.

Exports of the material through the port in July comprised a mere 9 tons against 5 tons in June while the same for May was at 2 tons, as per provisional data available with ICMW.

In July, 7 tons were sent to Oman in a price range of Rs 32,774 – Rs 33,106 while 2 tons went to Sudan at a unit price of Rs 67,725.

In June, the material was exported to Oman at Rs 33,100-Rs 33,132 per ton while in May the same was exported to Oman in a price band of Rs 33,085-Rs 33,549 per ton.

In April, a single ton of pet coke was exported to Oman at a rate of Rs 32,941 per ton. In March, 2 tons went to Kenya at a unit price of Rs 25,533.
