No pet coke imports via Mundra Port for two months

November 19: There were no imports of pet coke through the port of Mundra for October and September, 2015. For the month of August, the imports of the material stood at mere 20, as per provisional information available with ICMW.

 In October 2014, imports of the same stood at 71,844 tons.

For the first seven months (April-October) of the current fiscal (2015-16), imports of pet coke through Mundra Port stood at a mere 100 tons while imports of the same stood at 142,441 tons in the same period of the previous fiscal.

Following is the monthly break-up of pet coke imports via Mundra Port in 2015-16 and 2014-15 (in tons):

In August, the entire consignment came from China at a unit price of Rs 28,680 ($447) per ton.
