No steam coal exported via Paradip for 10 months

December 14: Even as domestic production of steam coal is rising in India, most of it is getting consumed by the domestic user-industries. Consequently, there have been no steam coal exports through Paradip Port from February-November, 2015, as per provisional information available with ICMW.

In January 2015, a reduced volume of 16,300 tons had been exported against a heftier 32,400 tons in December 2014.

In both instances, the material had gone to Bangladesh.
