July 28: The normal operation at Navlakhi port on the western coast of India, which was affected to a great extent in 2013-14 due to environmental issues, has almost come back to normalcy during the last two-three months, an official of Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB) told ICMW.
“The operation at Navlakhi was affected to great extent after the environment ministry had raised some issue, but those have been sorted to great extent and currently we are functioning normally,” the official added.
“We have been asked by the ministry to comply with certain guidelines and we are working on that also so that the situation is brought to normal,” the official added.
