Nov met coke imports via New Mangalore spurt m-o-m

December 29: Met coke imports via New Mangalore Port went up sharply by almost 6.7 times during November 2014 to 46,575 tons from 6,959 tons in October, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In November 2013, met coke imports via the port stood at 127,358 tons.
Total imports of met coke through New Mangalore Port in April-November, 2014-15 stood at 290,529 tons against 377,447 tons recorded in the same period of the previous financial year.

During November 2014, the entire material came from China at a price range of Rs 12,204-Rs 12,254 ($197-$198) per ton whereas in October 2014, a volume of 4,659 tons came in from China at a price of Rs 13,561 ($218) per ton while the balance 2,300 tons came in from Ukraine at a price of Rs 9,446 ($152) per ton.
