December 10: Steam coal imports through the port of Dahej fell by 18.64% month-on-month to 766,454 tons in November 2015 from 942,168 tons in October, according to provisional data available with ICMW. The same was 26,000 tons in November 2014.
For the first eight months (April-November) of 2015-16, steam coal imports through the port stood at 7,576,451 tons while details for the same period of last fiscal were not available.

In November 2015, a volume of 15,000 tons came from Indonesia at Rs 3,096 ($ 47) per ton, 242,828 tons came from South Africa at a range of Rs 3,166 -4,576 ($48-$69) per ton while details of the remaining 508,626 tons were not available.
In October, 321,958 tons came from South Africa at a price range of Rs 3,563-Rs 3,733 ($55-56) per ton while details of the remaining 620,210 tons were not available.
