OIPL floats global NIT to set up 4,000-MW Odisha UMPP

September 25: Orissa Integrated Power Limited (OIPL) has floated a global notice inviting tender (NIT) for pre-qualification of applicants to set up 4,000-MW Odisha Ultra Mega Power Project (UMPP).
This will be a coal-fired pit head power project near Bhedabahal village and will be set up on a design-build-finance-operate-transfer (DBFOT) basis.
Coal for this power project will be sourced from Meenakshi, Meenakshi B and Dip side of Meenakshi in Ib valley.
Beneficiaries of this power project would be the states of Odisha, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand and Chhattisgarh.
