Oct anthracite imports via Chennai drop 68% m-o-m

November 27: Anthracite coal imports via Chennai Port dropped 67.85% to 360 tons in October 2014 against a volume of 1,120.05 tons in September, as per provisional data available with ICMW.

In October, all the consignments arrived from China in a range of Rs 21,255- Rs 24,644 ($343-397) per ton.

In September, almost all the consignments arrived from China in a band of Rs 21,255 – Rs 27,872 ($344-457) per ton while the balance 00.05 tons arrived from Vietnam at 30,808 ($505)/ton.
