Oct coal handling by Porbandar Port up 81% m-o-m

November 27: Handling of coal (imports of pet coke) by Porbander Port stood at 79,552 tons in October 2015, a sharp rise of 80.80% from 44,000 tons handled in September 2015, as per provisional data from port sources available with ICMW.

Similarly, during the first seven months (April-October) of 2015-16, coal handling by this port stood at 238,608 tons, showing a rise of 3.04% from 231,569 tons handled in the same period of 2014-15.

However, handling of coal by the port in October 2014 stood at 79,571 tons, which shows that handling in October this year was marginally or 0.02% down on a y-o-y basis.
