Oct met coke imports via New Mangalore up 39% m-o-m

November 26: Met coke imports via New Mangalore Port went up sharply by 39.46% during October 2014 to 6,959 tons from 4,990 tons in September, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In October 2013, met coke imports via the port stood at 59,832 tons.
Total imports of met coke through New Mangalore Port in April-October, 2014-15 stood at 243,955 tons against 250,089 tons recorded in the same period of the previous financial year.
Following is the monthly break-up of met coke imports via New Mangalore Port in 2014-15 and 2013-14 (in tons):

In October 2014, a volume of 4,659 tons came in from China at a price of Rs 13,561 ($218) per ton while the balance 2,300 tons came in from Ukraine at a price of Rs 9,446 ($152) per ton.
However, in September 2014, the entire quantity came in from China at a price of Rs 13,561 ($222) per ton.
