Oct steam coal imports via New Mangalore fall 12% m-o-m

November 26: Non-coking coal imports through New Mangalore Port during October 2014 fell 12.36% to 137,599 tons from 157,002 tons recorded in September, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In October 2013, non-coking coal imports via the port stood at 179,655 tons.
Total imports of non-coking coal through New Mangalore Port in April-October, 2014-15 stood at 1,546,579 tons against 2,629,521 tons recorded in the same period of the previous financial year.

In October 2014, the entire material came in from South Africa at a price range of Rs 4,263-Rs 5,616 ($69-$90) per ton while in September 2014, the entire quantity came in from South Africa at a price range of Rs 4,158-Rs 5,434 ($68-$88) per ton.
