November 26: The spot prices of off-spec South African steam coal (5,500 Kcal/kg NAR) turned soft on November 25 after rising continuously over the past couple of days, while others remained largely stable in a market devoid of buying strength, industry sources said.
Little change was marked in other varieties of steam coal during the day even as 5,500 Kcal/kg prices fell by almost $1.00 per ton after touching a high of $67.20 on November 22.
