Only online EC application to be accepted from July: MoEF

June 5: The Ministry of Environment & Forests (MoEF) will only accept online applications for environmental clearances from July 1, 2014, to promote transparency in governance and better functioning of the ministry, according to an official release.

Prakash Javadekar, Minister of Environment & Forests, while addressing delegates, announced that the new system for online submission of applications for environmental clearances launched earlier is fully operational from June 5, 2014.

He added that no applications would be entertained for clearances through any route other than online, from July 1, 2014.
