September 20: Pulverised Coal Injection (PCI) coal imports through the port of Vizag edged down 3.74% to 69,454 tons in August 2013 against 72,152 tons recorded in July, as per provisional information available with ICMW.
With this, import of PCI coal in the first five months of 2013-14 stood at 270,793 tons whereas the figure stood at 275,228 tons during the corresponding period in 2012-13.

In August 2013, the entire consignment arrived from Australia in a price band of Rs 7,015 – Rs 8,975 ($114-$146) per ton.
In July 2013, the entire consignment came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 7,907–Rs 8,852 ($131-$148) per ton.
