PCI coal imports via Vizag drop 63.14% in May m-o-m

June 11: Pulverised Coal Injection (PCI) imports through the port of Vizag fell 63.14% to 24,165 tons in May, 2014, as against 65,570 tons in April 2014, as per provisional information available with ICMW.
In March, 2014, PCI coal imports through the port stood at 51,711 tons
In May, 2013, PCI coal import through Vizag Port stood at 47,584 tons.

PCI coal imports for May comprised a single consignment from Australia at Rs 7,541 ($124) per ton.
In April, PCI coal imports comprised 22,110 tons from Canada at a unit price of Rs 7,435 ($122) and 43,460 tons from Australia at a unit price of Rs 7,701 ($127).
