PCI coal imports via Vizag more than treble in Nov m-o-m

December 10: Pulverised Coal Injection (PCI) coal imports through the port of Vizag were at 26,000 tons in November 2013 against 2,258 tons recorded in October 2013, showing a huge jump, as per provisional information available with ICMW.
With this, imports of PCI coal in the first eight months of 2013-14 stood at 342,986 tons against 319,151 tons notched up during the corresponding period in 2012-13.

In November, the entire consignment arrived from Australia at a unit price of Rs 8,681 ($138).
In October 2013 too, the entire consignment arrived from Australia but at a unit price of Rs 8,221 ($131).
