After a gap of one month, PCI coal imports via Marmagoa Port resumed with 1,18,090 tons in January 2016, as per provisional information available with ICMW. Incidentally, imports of this material via this port had stood at 83,093 tons during November 2015.
For the first 10 months (April-January) of the current fiscal (2015-16), PCI coal imports via Marmagoa Port stood at 331,066 tons against 257,186 tons imported in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15).
However, there were no imports of PCI coal via the port in January 2015.

In January 2016, the total quantity came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,404-Rs 5,406 ($80-$80) per ton.
There was no imports of PCI coal via this port in December 2015.
