PCI imports via Paradip Port drop 90.10 % m-o-m in May

June 10: PCI coal imports through the port of Paradip were at 11,331 tons in May 2014, as against 114,491 tons in April 2014 showing a sharp month-on-month fall of 90.10%, as per provisional data available with ICMW.

In March, a volume of 61,374 tons PCI coal imported through the port.

In May, two consignments arrived from Australia at a unit price ranging between Rs 7,487-Rs 7,740 ($123-$127).

In April, 62,389 tons arrived from Australia in a price band of Rs 7,180 – Rs 7,478 ($116-123) per ton, while the balance 52,102 tons arrived from Ukraine at a unit price of Rs 7,025 ($116).

In March, a single consignment arrived from Australia at a unit price of Rs 7,488 ($121).
