PCI imports via Paradip Port rise a sharp 85.03% in March

April 8: PCI coal imports through the port of Paradip in March 2014 were at 61,374 tons against 33,169 tons reported in February 2014, showing a sharp month-on-month increase of 85.03%, as per provisional data available with ICMW.

In March, a single consignment arrived from Australia at a unit price of Rs 7,488 ($121).

In February, two consignments arrived from Australia in a price band of Rs 7,920-Rs 8,015 ($127) per ton.

It may be recalled that there were no imports of this commodity in January.
