PCI imports via Paradip Port rise sharp 85.03% in April m-o-m

May 22: PCI coal imports through the port of Paradip were at 114,491 tons in April 2014 against a volume of 61,374 tons reported in March 2014, showing a sharp month-on-month increase of 85.55%, as per provisional data available with ICMW.

In April, 62,389 tons arrived from Australia in a price band of Rs 7,180 - Rs 7,478 ($116-123) per ton, while the balance 52,102 tons arrived from Ukraine at a unit price of Rs 7,025 ($116).

In March, a single consignment arrived from Australia at a unit price of Rs 7,488 ($121).
