PCI coal imports through the port of Paradip in January 2016 stood at 154,016 tons against 111,750 tons tons in December 2015, showing a moderate increase of 37.83% month-on-month, as per provisional data available with ICMW.
In January 2016, the entire volume arrived from Australia in a price range of Rs 4,756 – Rs 5,685 ($72-84) per ton.
In December 2015, all the consignments arrived from Australia too but in a band of Rs 4,804 – Rs 5,067 ($71-76) per ton.
