Pak imports from South Africa up 58% in Oct m-o-m

November 18: Pakistan’s coal imports from Richards Bay Coal Terminal (RBCT) in South Africa (SA), on a month-on-month basis, rose a moderate 58.02% to 265,133 tons in October 2015 compared to 167,750 tons in the preceding month of September, as per data available with ICMW.
On a year-on-year basis, October imports in 2015 were up 63.55% against 162,106 tons seen in the same month in the previous fiscal.
Pakistan’s coal imports from RBCT stood at 2,528,199 tons in the first seven months (April-October, 2015-16) compared to 2,399,816 tons recorded in the same period of the previous fiscal, showing a marginal increase of 5.35% year-on-year over the same period.
Pakistan’s coal imports from RBCT of South Africa during the first 10 months of 2015 (January-October) stood at 3,126,749 tons, up 9.69% from 2,850,404 tons imported in the same period in 2014, shows the data.
