Paradip December limestone handling down 38.52% m-o-m

Handling of limestone (import and export of limestone) by Paradip Port stood at 276,729 tons in December 2015, witnessing a fall of 38.52% from 450,127 tons handled in November 2015, as per provisional data available with ICMW.

During the first nine months (April-December) of 2015-16, limestone handling by the port stood at 2,363,216 tons, showing a rise of 12.05% from 2,109,048 tons handled in the same period of 2014-15.

Similarly, handling of limestone by the port in December 2014 stood at 203,534 tons, which shows that handling was up 35.96% y-o-y.

On the other hand, handling of imported limestone by Paradip Port stood at 276,729 tons in December 2015, witnessing a fall of 38.52% from 450,127 tons handled in November 2015.

During the first nine months (April-December) of 2015-16, imported limestone handling by the port stood at 2,351,691 tons, showing a rise of 11.50% from 2,109,048 tons handled in the same period of 2014-15.

Similarly, handling of imported limestone by the port in December 2014 stood at 203,534 tons, which shows that handling was up 35.96% y-o-y.

Meanwhile, as was the case in November 2015, there was no export of limestone via Paradip Port in December 2015.

During the first nine months (April-December) of 2015-16, exported limestone handling by the port stood at 11,525 tons, while there was no limestone handled in the same period of 2014-15.

Similarly, there was no handling of exported limestone by Paradip Port in December 2014.
