Paradip Port again extends RFP submission date for berth
19 Mar 2014
March 19: Paradip Port Trust has once again extended the last date of submission for the "request for proposal" (RFP) (price bid) for developing a multi-purpose berth at the port, according to information available with ICMW.
The RFP has been invited to set up a multipurpose berth with a capacity of 5 million tons per annum (mtpa) to handle clean cargo, including containers, on build-operate-transfer (BOT) basis.
The bid was initially scheduled to be closed on March 10, but the closing date was first extended to March 21 and now again to March 26.
The estimated cost of the total project is around Rs 356.54 crore.
"All the five applicants in the request for quotation (RFQ) stage are qualified for participating in the RPF stage and submitting their financial offers," the port said in a statement.
Port authorities did not explain the reason for extension of the RFP bid, but it is believed that it was done at the request of qualified participants.
