Paradip Port appoints Rinkesk Roy as new chairman

December 22: Rinkesh Roy has been appointed as the new Chairman of Paradip Port Trust (PPT) by the Union Ministry of Shipping. He is a 1992-batch Indian Railways Traffic Services cadre officer from Odisha. Before this posting, Roy handled many important assignments such as Director of Coal on the Railway Board and Chief Freight Traffic Manager of the East Coast Railway. He is the winner of the prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Fellowship, 2013 and has done Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the prestigious Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, US.

The earlier PPT Chairman was transferred in January this year, and since then, the post was being managed by the Visakhapatnam Port chairman as an additional responsibility.
