Paradip Port cargo handling up 3% y-o-y in June

July 3: Cargo handling by Paradip port increased by 2.56% to 5.59 million tons (mt) in June 2014 compared to a volume of 5.45 mt reported in the same month a year ago, according to data available with ICMW.
Of the total cargo handling during the month, coal handling by the port stood at 8.63 mt, out of which coking coal handling stood at 1.3 mt and steam coal handling stood at 6.79 mt.
Iron ore handling by the port stood at a mere 0.6 mt during the month.
In the first quarter (April-June) of the current financial year, the total cargo handling by the port stood at 17.32 mt.
