Paradip Port extends RFP bid for multipurpose berth

March 10: Paradip Port Trust extended the last date of submission of the "request for proposal" (RFP) bid for developing a multi-purpose berth with a capacity of 5 million tons per annum (mtpa) to handle clean cargo, including containers, on built-operate-transfer (BOT) basis by 11 days, the port management said in a notice.
The last date of submission of the RFP bid (price offer) for the above-mentioned project has been extended till 15.30 pm, March 21, 2014, instead of the previous March 10.
The estimated cost of the total project is around Rs 356.54 crore.
"All the five applicants in the 'request for quotation' (RFQ) stage are qualified for participating in the RPF stage and submitting their financial offers," the port said in a statement. Port authorities, however, did not explain the reason behind the extension of the RFP bid date.
